Darragh Grove-White · Hands-on ChatGPT workshop

# Make ChatGPT useful for the work you actually do.

ChatGPT knows a lot. It starts out knowing very little about you.

Build a personalised setup around your work, goals and preferences, then learn how to give AI useful context, brief it clearly, work through real tasks and check what comes back.

Work hands-on in a group of seven, with direct guidance from Darragh. Build and test your setup during the workshop, then use your private 30-minute follow-up after trying it in your own work.

One participant’s experience

> “It felt like ChatGPT upgraded itself from a legal assistant to a senior associate in one workshop.”

— Jamie Fitzel, Lawyer & Business Owner, Step By Step Law Corporation

Before Workshop 1

## If ChatGPT feels promising, but inconsistent

- The draft was quick, but the whole job still took work.
- You repeat background or instructions.
- Some answers are impressive; others miss the point or sound confidently wrong.
- You are not sure what to rely on, question or verify.
- You mostly use AI for drafting, rewriting or summarising.
- You suspect it could help with much more but do not know how.

For professionals and business owners who are curious about ChatGPT or already using it. No technical experience or prepared task is needed.

What you’ll leave with

## After Workshop 1

Leave able to get genuinely useful help from AI on real work — and judge whether what comes back is good enough to use.

01

### Know why AI goes off track — and what to do about it.

Understand why AI can be brilliant one moment and off track the next. Recognise missing context, unclear instructions and answers that need closer review.

02

### Give each conversation a better starting point.

Your goals, working context, preferences and response instructions, installed and tested. Less repeated explanation, with fresh context added for each task.

03

### Know how to get useful work from AI, not just better answers.

Brief AI, provide examples, work in stages and correct drift. Practise when to continue, start fresh or use a Project, and what context to carry forward.

04

### Know what to rely on, question or verify.

Get AI to ask questions, expose assumptions and challenge you. Keep responsibility for the final decision.

05

### Spot useful work AI could help with — and recognise when it isn’t the right tool.

Recognise useful tasks, the context they need and whether AI is a good fit. Some work may become practical that once felt too difficult or time-consuming.

The setup you take with you

## Give ChatGPT a clearer picture of you.

Your personalised setup gives AI a better starting point about you. The larger skill is learning how to brief, question, inspect and improve its work across different tasks.

Use MyPurposeGPT to clarify what matters to you, your goals and working context. Obedience Training turns this into instructions for how AI should support you, ask questions and challenge assumptions. Review and install your setup, then test and refine it in a fresh conversation.

Your guide

## Work through it with the person who built the tools.

![Darragh pointing at a participant’s laptop while guiding two workshop attendees seated beside him.](https://grove-white.co/hs-fs/hubfs/union%20club%20workshop%20attendees%20february%202026.png?width=1254&height=1254&name=union%20club%20workshop%20attendees%20february%202026.png)

I’m Darragh Grove-White, founder of Grove-White & Co. I built the guided tools we’ll use. In a group of seven, I’ll guide you as you build and test your setup, work through real tasks and check the results.

I’ve led dozens of private AI workshops and taught hundreds of professionals and business owners, with speaking work for audiences including Financial Horizons.

After the workshop, your private 30-minute follow-up gives us time to review what’s working, troubleshoot a sticking point and choose your next step. Use it within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.

Includes the guided tools, workbook, slides, audio recording and transcript, with at least 12 months’ access. Future updates are not included.

Participant perspectives

## What became useful. What gave them confidence.

Participants describe their own experiences; results vary.

> “This workshop completely changed how I think about using AI. It’s eye-opening — not hype — and it shows you what’s actually possible, then makes it practical for real business use. The amount of real work that came out of a few hours genuinely surprised me. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone running a business.”

— Philippe Jolicoeur, Owner of No7 Coffee & No7 Realty

> “Being able to personalise it gave me real confidence. It’s not going to flatter me — it produces tightly written, practical reports. I’m already recommending the workshop to other people, and I’m very confident referring it to anybody I know.”

— Fred Haynes, PhD — Former Saanich Mayor & Business Owner

## Questions about the workshop

What do I need to bring?

Bring a laptop and charger, with a paid ChatGPT plan and working login ready for the workshop. Use public, synthetic or sanitised material for shared exercises; keep confidential client, employer and personal information out of the shared session. Come ready to try things, ask questions and review the answers.

Which tools will we use?

We will use ChatGPT for the hands-on exercises. A paid plan is required and its subscription is separate from the workshop fee. The briefing and review habits also apply to Claude, Gemini and other chatbots, although their features differ.

Do I need to prepare a task?

No prepared task or project brief is needed. You complete MyPurposeGPT in class, exploring your goals, priorities, preferences and working life, including what matters beyond work. You review the resulting profile and use it to build your ChatGPT setup. You are not asked to share the report with the group or submit it to Darragh.

After your application is approved, you will receive preparation instructions and the opening Obedience Training questions to complete before the workshop.

How does registration work?

Upcoming 2027 dates are to be announced. Join the workshop waitlist to receive confirmed dates and registration details by email. Joining the list does not reserve a seat or commit you to payment. Once registration opens, Darragh reviews applications and sends accepted participants a payment link; payment confirms a place.

What happens if I cannot attend?

Registrations are non-refundable. You may transfer your place to another suitable participant who meets the workshop requirements by contacting Darragh at least 72 hours beforehand.

If you cannot attend, including if you miss the workshop, you may move your registration once at no additional workshop charge to the next suitable monthly cohort with capacity. Your tools, materials and 30-minute follow-up are provided with the cohort you attend.

If Grove-White & Co. cancels the workshop, you will receive a full refund. If the workshop is postponed, you may accept the new date or receive a full refund if you cannot attend.

Is this the right workshop for advanced AI work?

This workshop centres on a personal ChatGPT setup and the foundational skills to use it effectively. Done-for-you automation, implementation and advanced agent building are outside its scope. Personalisation does not remove the need for task-specific context, corrections or your judgement.

What resources are included?

You receive at least 12 months’ access to the guided tools and resources used in the workshop:

- MyPurposeGPT helps you clarify your goals, priorities and personal as well as professional context, then produce a profile you review. You complete this exercise in class.
- Obedience Training turns that context into instructions for how ChatGPT should communicate, ask questions, challenge assumptions and present its work. You install and check the setup. The opening questions are assigned after your application is approved.
- PromptPal helps you develop and refine prompts for guided practice.
- Your workbook, slides, session audio recording and transcript, plus the optional Workshop Study Project.

Future updates are not included. The standard session recording is audio plus transcript; video is not included.
